Congratulations to Hayden Livingstone, now a Year 11 student at Tauranga Boys’ College, for winning the “Barbara Petchenik Children’s World Map Award” in his age group. The award is given out by the International Cartographic Association, a world authoritative body for cartography. Hayden was the first ever New Zealander to win this prestigious award.

Congratulations also to Year 13 Tauranga Boys’ College student, Kieren Thomas, for his silver medal performance at the 2011 K2 North Island Secondary Schools’ Snowboard Competition.
