How to enrol...

School we welcome your enrolment enquiries at any time during the school year.
We encourage you to ring to make a time to visit the school so you can experience first-hand Matahui learning in action and have any questions you may have answered. You may pick up our prospectus and information pack at this time, or we can post this out to you beforehand if you prefer.
Enrolment Procedure:
· Complete and return an ‘Application for enrolment’ form included in the prospectus (also below), or ring or email (you may use the "Contact Us" page on this website) to inform the school of your intention to enrol your child. Please include your child's date of birth. The school may wish to view current school reports, or arrange an informal interview for prospective students in Years 2-8.
· Payment of the commitment fee will confirm your child’s enrolment.
· We will send you a letter confirming enrolment and advising of the date your child will commence school. If you would like, we can add your name to our email list for newsletters so you can keep up-to-date with what is happening at school and join in on relevant school events.
· If your child is beginning school as a New Entrant, we will contact you in the term prior to your child starting school to arrange a pre-school visit to enable you and your child to become familiar with the classroom environment and programmes.
· During your child’s pre-school visit you can arrange ordering uniforms, discuss any bus arrangements, and complete enrolment and health forms. You should also bring with you your child’s birth certificate or document verifying citizenship (such as passport, parent’s work permit, residency permit or student visa). We are required to sight these documents in their original form and take a copy to attach to the child’s enrolment card for future reference. Without these documents we are unable to verify their Date of Birth or Citizenship Status and we are legally required to do so. You should also bring your child’s immunisation certificate. You will not be penalised if you do not have this document but later on in their school career you may find it useful to know we have kept a copy.
· Enrolment is now complete and we look forward to welcoming your child on their first day of school and getting to know your family.
